Northeast PCI Beams

This PGSuper configuration is hosted at PGSuper.com and implements PCI Northeast girder shapes. A generic AASHTO LRFD project criteria library is used.

Special thanks to Tim Cullen at High Concrete Group for help and guidance  in development of this configuration.

Implemented Girder Shapes

• Northeast Bulbtee (NEBT) shapes
• Type D and F Northeast Extreme Bridge Tee (NEXT) shapes.

Assumptions and Limitations

• Strict AASHTO LRFD interpretation (most recent version implemented in PGSuper). Does not contain agency-specific provisions or interpretations (for example, PennDOT DM-4 interpretation not considered).
• Distribution factors for type F NEXT beams must be manually input into PGSuper. Guidelines for computation may be found at the PCINE web site.
• Barrier load is distributed to two outermost girders
• Girder lifting is considered
• Girder hauling is not considered for NEXT beams
