PGSuper
Updates in PGSuper 7.0
- Added support for Grade 300 strand
- Added Moment Capacity Details Report to show full details of strain compatibility analysis
- Added autosave and recovery features
- Added ability to export data from graphs into Excel or CSV text file
- Added load rating results to TxDOT Summary Report and CAD Export file
- Added new user interface elements that make input and management of connection data easier
- Added feature to model different size harped and straight strands (e.g. 0.6" harped and 0.7" straight)
- Added computation details of pier diaphragm dimensions when the Compute option is used in the Pier dialog
- Added feature to model eccentric loads due to overhang brackets in stability analysis
- Added more testing of creep coefficients to test suite
- Added check for strand elongation greater than 3.5% per ASTM A416 to moment capacity analysis
- Load ratings can now be performed for a single girder, a collection of girders, or a girderline
- Documentation can be displayed in the default web browser at the user's option
- Improved efficiency of strain compatibility moment capacity analysis by using a properties-only generic shape for reinforcement instead of an area-equivalent rectangle
- Improved alignment, profile, and section modeling with alignment name and offset profile grade line
- Improved reporting of calculation of required area of steel for the higher tension stress limit for LRFD C5.9.2.3.1b
- Fixed problem with shear design resulting in f'ci greater than f'c
- Fixed problem with consistently determining quantity of deck reinforcement due to rounding issues when reinforcement is modeled with bar size and spacing
- Updated evaluation of LRFD 5.9.2.2 as a Service I check which always includes elastic gains
- Fixed curing method and maturity for girder concrete creep coefficient for loads applied at deck casting
- Fixed splitting direction to horizontal for slabs
- Fixed f'c used to compute kf and ktd parameters for AASHTO LRFD creep and shrinkage equations
- Fixed problem computing maturity of concrete for creep coefficients for AASHTO LRFD specifications before 2005
- Fixed problem retaining dynamic load allowance (impact) parameters for Emergency vehicle ratings
- Fixed problem with incorrect camber being used for hauling stability analysis with unequal overhangs
- Fixed problem with window positions being restored outside the visable area of monitors after a monitor configuration change
- Fixed problem with girder spacing when using multiple types of adjacent slab beams
- Fixed problem with slab cantilever length threshold for computing I-Beam live load distribution factors per the TxDOT BDM
- Updated consistency of precision of output values
- Fixed problem with alignment geometry when long spirals in a curve-spiral-spiral-curve configuration is modeled
- Fixed problem with context menus not working in reports contained in dialog windows
- Fixed problem using the total strand area when computing elastic shortening loss at sections where strands are debonded
- Fixed computation of transfer length adjustment factor
- Fixed problem with bearing seat elevations
- Fixed problem reporting required concrete strength to satisfy a specification check
- Fixed problem using f'ci instead of f'c in concrete strength correction factor, kf, for AASHTO LRFD 2005 though 2014
- Fixed problem with internal numbering of stirrup zones after shear design
- Fixed problem with abnormal program termination when using debonding with strands defined by row
- Fixed problem with garbled text in boundary condition warning message after deleting a span
- Changed girder self-weight used in stability analysis so it is always based on gross area
- Updated stability analysis to accurately account for unequal overhangs
- Fixed calculation of center of gravity of girder with unequal overhangs
PGSplice
Updates in PGSplice 7.0
- Added new BridgeSight PGSplice Girder Design Dashboard
- Added user defined load reactions for temporary supports in reports
- Fixed problem omitting temporary supports in Girder View
- Fixed problem with slab offset data being altered after adding a temporary support
- Fixed problem updating input data when a duct library entry is renamed to resolve a library entry conflict
- Added reporting of post-tensioning input data in Details Report
- Added footnote to Girder Bearing Reactions table for spliced girders that explains reactions are for segments just after setting and the Girder Reactions are for reactions after post-tensioning
- Fixed Structural Analysis Error problem for certain combinations of segments, supports, and strongbacks
- Title of Timestep Details report is now dynamically generated to reflect the report contents
- Improved guidance message when intermeidate diaphragm loads are applied after deck casting
- Added effect of incremental dead load moment for lifting and hauling to time-step creep analysis
- Fixed unit conversion error with input of Pjack for plant installed tendons
- Fixed calculation of anchor set losses for plant installed tendons jacked from the right end of the segment
- Fixed f'c at time of loading used to compute kf and ktd parameters for AASHTO LRFD creep and shrinkage equations for time-step analysis
- Fixed abnormal program termination for segments in different groups cast in other than the first interval
We recommend existing PGSplice users to update their software as soon as possible
