XBRate: Uniform Width Reaction Type

I am running BridgeLink V 5.0.5. We are using this older version because it was latest version at the beginning of an ongoing project and we would prefer to remain consistent throughout the project.

I have a question regarding the Reaction Type: Uniform of width, W input for the permanent loads.
I want to ensure I am inputting the reaction correctly, just to confirm, the reaction are (k/ft) and should be entered as a uniform load. This uniform load is then distributed over the entered width, W (ft).

So the total reaction is not what is entered, just the distributed load, is that correct?

The Reaction over Uniform Width option is for something like a slab beam or box beam where the reaction point is wide. Something wider than you'd want to consider as a concentrated load.

The reaction is k/ft and it is distributed over the width W. There would typically be one bearing defined for each girder.

If you had 3 wide beams, spaced apart from each other, you'd have 3 lines in the input grid and the model would have 3 patches of uniform loads on the cross beam.
